Louis XVI French Gentleman's Chest, circa 1810's

A handsome early 19th century French Louis XVI style chiffonier or tall gentleman's chest, circa 1810s, having a molded Carrara marble top with cookie cutter corners sitting atop six drawers adorned with original brass drop bail handles with stars in the circular plates and shield shaped escutcheons. Supported on curved and fluted stiles raised on toupie feet. This tall, elegant neoclassical French chest of drawers has a beautiful French polish and is a wonderful addition to both contemporary and traditional interiors. The narrow width and depth make it perfect for use in any room.
